How We Handle the Money
Stand with Ukraine through Film receives funds from screening fees, cinema ticket revenue, and donations.
Here is a list of grants issued from received funds:
2022
$65,000: Ukrainian Studies Fund (multiple humanitarian and human rights projects in and near Ukraine)
$10,000: World Central Kitchen
$5,000: Plast
$5,000: Razom
$5,000: USA for IOM (International Organization for Migration)
2023
$15,000: World Central Kitchen
$10,000: UA Resistance Foundation in support of US Ambulances for Ukraine
$5,000: Ukrainian Studies Fund (Small cash grant initiative in Ukraine)
Notes:
- Screening fees from universities and similar educational organizations are received and handled by Cinema Salem, the founding organization of the project. These funds are divided evenly, with one half of the proceeds going to Pronto Films of Ukraine, the producer of The Guide. The remaining funds are dedicated to public education and other forms of support for the Ukrainian people.
- Cinema ticket revenue is also received and handled by Cinema Salem. All such revenue is dedicated to public education and other forms of support for the Ukrainian people.
- Additional donations are received and handled by Human & Civil Rights Organizations of America, Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Notes:
- Further distributions are being planned, reflecting ongoing donations. To keep administrative overhead expenses low, grants are generally made when there is a minimum of $10,000 available to disburse.
- Cinemas in Canada, Holland and Australia have made their own arrangements for donating funds to international nonprofits. Those grants are not reflected on the above list.
